Fancy a trip to one of Europe’s most historical and beautiful cities? You’re in luck! Vienna, the capital of Austria, is a charming hub of commercial life, and sits on the banks of the spectacular Danube River. Boasting a wide range of historical sites, events and entertainment, this cosmopolitan haven is certain to take your breath away. So, what are you waiting for? Come with us on our tour of Vienna for tourists: the top 3 locations!
First up, time for some historical relaxing. The Museumsquartier is a fantastic spot for some relaxed and low-key art appreciation. In this quarter of the city, you’ll find the white limestone cube of the Leopold Museum, the Museum of Modern Art and work from Kunsthalle Wien himself! Truly spectacular! And if that’s not enough, make sure you chill in the glass walled-café of the Leopold. This is an experience not to be missed.
Vienna is home a range of wonderful vineyards, all of which come together to make the city the world’s capital of wine! Specked across the city, you’ll find dozens of dedicated wine taverns, all of which are made to celebrate one thing – great wine! Make sure you visit Heuriger, which is perhaps the epicentre of Vienna’s booming vineyard industry. All in all, Vienna has over 7km of vineyards, so you are sure to find one that you like!
We finish our tour with a trip to the Sigmund Freud Museum. As you may know, Freud is the father of modern psychology, so what a museum this is! Set in the apartment where Freud worked and lived, you’ll be given access to a whole range of fantastic exhibits; including authentic letters, photos and equipment that Freud himself used. What a treat!
